I reed it last week nearly non-stop and it's a huge book. I loved it. My sister and co-moderator, Almeta, hasn't read it yet, so she will be moderating the discussion threads. I will be setting them up today.
Ann, you have made me want to listen to the audio!

Got all the discussion threads set up. Whew!
I just ordered a signed first edition/first printing from an Amazon seller. My "ordinary" copy isn't a first printing. It must be selling like hot cakes!

Looks as though we are going to have a healthy discussion group.
Don't have "my" copy just yet, but will be along shortly!

I just read it and now have the audiobook coming in the mail. I'm going to enjoy the 2nd ride of this great story.
I don't know why I said I have the audiobook coming, because it's not out on CD, yet; only Audible. Since Audible is no longer supporting Blackberry (my phone to which all my Audible files were once downloaded), I have been pretty much forced to buy an MP3 player that Audible supports. THEN, I will see how it works and THEN order NOS4A2 on Audible... sigh... I'm piping mad right now because I've spend hundreds of dollars on Audible books and now I can't read them on my Blackberry!

Are you going to read it again with us?

I wonder what happened. There must be some issue between BB and Amazon. Grrrr! These propriety issues can be so frustrating!

Also, I'm feeling a bit lonely. It's a bit hard to have a conversation with myself. Where are all the people who've already read the book? How can you tell I'm excited to discuss the book? Hehehe!

Sansa Clip+ MP3 player is exactly what I ordered. And I'll probably get rid of my Blackberry sometime in the near future, too. I'm eligible for a decent upgrade with Sprint.
I was hoping to upgrade my Nook, but Audible and Nook don't talk, either. Soooooo... wondering if I should get a Kindle and figure out how to get my Nook books downloaded to it.
Technology is baffling at times...

Janice,I'll number the sections as you suggested. I can see how it can get confusing with so many to choose from.
I read the book, but can't remember what was in each section, so I was hoping to be listening with Audible and you know how THAT went. Once I get my MP3 player, I'll have a learning curve, then I'll be back in the game.

LOL! The sky is clear, son is shining, and it looks t be a gorgeous day.
Okay, I'll be patient.

I am brimming with ideas for my comments for my final feelings, I hope I remember them all when we get there together. :)

We had a few gorgeous days here as well, in spite of the prediction of thunderstorms for the 4th of July.
Mother Nature has decide to dump the rain on us while we sleep and then steam it off during the sunny day!
Okay, okay...I've started the book today.

I just couldn't resist picking up a signed edition of this book to add to my King's Famdamly collection. I've got a signed one by Owen King, too. Nothing by Tabitha, tho.
My MP3 player should be here any day now. Not looking forward to the learning curve, but will be happy to finally have it and Audible's NOS4A2.
After a bit of a fight, I was finally able to get my PC to recognize my new MP3 player and get NOS4A2 downloaded to it. Now I just have to find the time to listen to it between now and the end of August. I'm looking forward to it, tho!

Glad you liked it, Shannon. Horns was very good, and I've heard good things about Heart-Shaped Box, which I've got on my bookshelf from the library.

Once you get started on it, you won't be able to stop. Kate Mulgrew is fabulous. The voice she give Manx is downright creepy!
I think this is a "read twice" book; once for the thrill-ride story (which I think should be audio) and then again for the covert AND overt references to Hlll's, King's and other author's works.
I suspect there is much that I missed as the homages abound. In danger of becoming a NOS4A2 geek, help!

Not sure what I'm going to do, maybe I should just reserve it - and I probably won't get it until October!!!

It is a pretty quick read, so you'll probably move up the queue quickly.
Be sure to reserve it no matter what else you do!
And no matter when you read it, come back here to talk with us about it.☺

The character was living in Chesapeake, VA...I love my school and community. It is very safe, even though is years past bad things have happened. But isn't that everywhere? Our average crime rate is well below the national average. Unfortunately a couple of events make my town sound unsafe. It actually is on multiple polls as the Best place to race a child, family, Best place to live, etc...

Oh Michelle I wasn't referring to anything more than the NOS4A2 abduction. I didn't mean for you to have to defend your home state. Detroit suburbanites have no room to criticize!

I might want to raise a child in Virginia...I'm not so sure that I could keep up with racing one. :)
