I just finished "Still Me," and loved Louisa's journey. Will we see more of Louisa or was this her last installment?

Jojo Moyes I think this was the last book. I might revisit her in a short story. But I have a couple of other books that I want to work on for now.

I just wanted to say I loved Still Me. Great novel and follow up to #2. Louise is a great character and inspirational too. Im off to find a vintage store. Are you planning #4?

At the end of Me Before You there is a Dear Reader note about revisiting Lou and her family-other than this series, where else does Lou appear?

Jojo Moyes Well, it was loosely based on a true story, in which the man refused to live. And that was what intrigued me - what would you do if someone simply refused to adapt? We all like to think that we'd be able to handle the situation with grace, to move forward, but I wanted to be true to Will's (unusually stubborn) character - he doesn't react like other men would.

Just finished Still Me. I loved it and Louisa. Do you have more to write about her? Also I saw the movie Me Before You, and the girl who played Louisa was PERFECT, so lets keep going. FYI I cried during Me Before and also during the movie So Whats Next? We readers are a greedy bunch

Jojo Moyes I think I'm taking a break from Louisa. At the moment my plan is perhaps to revisit her in a short story in a few years - nothing more - but who knows? I'm researching a new book which is very different...

Last year I came across Me Before You and got obsessed w/ ur writing and decided I was officially a Moyes fan. I've now read Me Before You, Paris For One & The Girl You Left Behind. I'm currently reading Still Me. I've noticed in all of them you tend to always somehow mention France, specificly Paris one way or another. I became so facinated to why France? Is there a specific reason? xx Girls Geek

Jojo Moyes I don't know! I suppose it's the country I had been to most - apart from the US. The newest book doesn't have Paris in it, if that helps... (I think...)

I thought the most beautiful and equally heart breaking part of Me before You was how close to reality the story struck. And I needed After You to be reassured that Lou was indeed okay. I just read Still Me and I am still making up my mind. What I would love to know is what was your motivation behind this story? Don't get me wrong, I love me some Lou but what was it that made you tell more of her journey?

The leading characters in your books seem to feature strong women, some blatant others subtle. Is this a deliberate choice and have you had strong women in your life that are the basis for this choice?

Jojo Moyes Hi Regan - I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'blatant' but yes, I do try to feature strong women. I try to write women that I recognise and who do things rather than buy things. And yes I have plenty of strong women in my life. I'm sure a bit of it has rubbed off!

Hello, Mrs. Moyes! It's so exciting to see that you're answering questions... because there has been one that's been scratching at my brain since the moment I closed Me Before You. I devoured Lou and Will's epic tragedy in only three hours and when I finished reading it, alone in my bedroom and crying into my pillows, the first thing I needed to know was: "will this turn into a movie?"

Loved Me Before You! My son died of cancer in 2010 and one of the hardest things I struggle with sometimes is a feeling of numbness. This book somehow helped release the pain stuck in my body, so thank you for an amazing heart-felt book Jojo. I am half way through The Girl You Left Behind. This is a comment and not a question, so I guess I didn't follow the rules very well. Thank you, Dana Goodman

This is not a question but an observation. Not sure if anyone's mentioned or noticed this but I though Louisa Clark's name was derived from "Clark Kent & Lois Lane" from Superman. Christopher Reeve, the actor who played the classic Superman, became a quadriplegic after an equestrian competition injury. When I was reading the book, I imagined the young and handsome Christopher Reeve as Will Traynor.

Jojo Moyes You're the second person to point this out to me, and I honestly hadn't made the connection. But it's an interesting one - I wonder if my subconscious picked up on it. One of my proudest moments after the book came out was when the Christopher Reeve Foundation said they supported the book - I did think that Christopher Reeve was the most extraordinary man and handled his life post injury with a rare grace.

I finished Me Before You last night (and yes, my eyes are still swollen today). Really big thank you for such a wonderful book! I realized in the end, Will Traynor wasn't just helping Louisa Clark to do better in her life, but me as well. And a question for you, do you often listen to music while writing your books, especially Me Before You? Oh, and I really can't wait for the movie adaptation next year!!

Jojo Moyes Thank you Cynthia. And yes, I do listen to music - but rarely music with lyrics as I find it too distracting. And thank you re; the movie. I'm very excited and hopeful about the filming.

Out of all the characters in your books, which one would you say you are the most similar to and in what ways?

Jojo Moyes Oh Gosh. I think they all contain bits of me. But my oldest friend says that Jess from The One Plus One is most like me. (although I'm definitely less optimistic, and I rarely wear flip flops)

What are some of your favorite books?

Jojo Moyes This changes ALL THE TIME. But Heartburn, Nora Ephron; National Velvet by Enid Bagnold; The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt are pretty constant.

Are your books stand alone books or are they a series?

Jojo Moyes Up until now they've been standalone, but HoneyMoon in Paris can be read before or after The Girl You Left Behind as they contain the same characters.
