So, we decided to turn our colleagues' love of the mystery and thriller genre into some great reading recommendations for you. Below we've rounded up their three best picks!

One fro the Money is a necessary entrance to the Stephanie Plum series, but I thought Two for the Dough was much better, as are several of the subsequent books--hilariously so.

I just finished The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. It was great. I am so glad that Lisa Jablonsky chose it. Also, Priscilla S. Guido chose Inferno by Dan Brown and Origin by Dan Brownthe next ones I want to read in the Robert Langdon!

Glad they are so popular.

From the late 1800s but still is great!

Izetta Autumn I can't believe Attica Locke's books weren't on the list! They are some of my favorite for their plot, character development, cinematic noir atmosphere, and great writing. Heaven My Home Locke's most recent book was really fantastic.

And of course, two classic writers: Chester Himes and Walter Mosley whose Easy Rawlins series remains one of my favorite mystery series.

I'm completely agree with you, mellenium series and the women on the window are amazing! before I Go to Sleep I haven't read it.

Sleemon It's amazing what some people consider "mysteries" To rank Dan Brown novels above those of P.D. James Adam Dalgliesh series or Ruth Rendell's Inspector Wexford series is a travesty. I pity the readers who haven't experienced the pleasures of fine literary genre fiction.
