If you're really getting nowhere in SimCity, this book might be worth your time. If you've already figured out most things by playing the game and are doing allright - don't bother buying it.

The essential tips in this book could easily have been condensed to 5-10 pages. Instead it is more of a bloated manual with lots of words but little content.

It is, however, very nicely layouted with beautiful design and highly detailed on everything in the game. The problem is just that there is very little of the great tips and secrets I need to know to get a better gameplay. You really need to read it carefully and be observant to pick out the golden nuggets, which I (as a poor mayor) think is time that could have been better spent playing the game. Practice makes perfect - this book doesn't.
