Have you heard people talking about how they hear the voice of God, but you don’t think that you ever have? Do you ever feel like something must be wrong with you because you don’t hear, or don’t think that you hear? I think most people feel that way.
Ami talks about what relationship with God is and how she stays connected. One section of the book gives you a good path to your spiritual walk with God that was will help you get to the close relationship you want!

“Constant Companion” is beautifully written. It draws you into a deep realization of God’s desire to walk alongside you. His plan for you and humanity from the beginning was to be known and for His creation to know His love. This book lays out His plan and desire and provides the insight and scriptural basis for us all to come to that place of belonging, that relationship with our Creator, that place of being truly known and loved.

Ami Loper's book, Constant Companion is wonderfully written and engrossing. It digs deeply into God's desire to be present with us, showing you His plan for mankind to know Him and for Him to know all of us. The book provides guidance and a biblical foundation for becoming closer to our Creator. This uplifting book highlights our greatest calling, a close relationship with God. This is regardless of your familiarity with or affiliation with religion. It offers helpful guidance on how to use the Bible to deepen faith. This book resonates on a deep level and is recommended.

Loper’s deep passion in her faith and clear education on the topic add a level of intelligence and tact you don’t always see in faith-based books. This book isn’t a novel, but a believer’s map to help navigate through life with faith (whether it’s faltering or not). It doesn’t really proselytize, it’s not trying to convert non-believers, and because of this there a lot of valuable lessons and quotes that are useful even if you disregard the basis in faith.

In the beautifully-written self-help Guide, Constant Companion, the author, Ami Loper offers a fresh perspective on life as a Christian and what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. Divided into four parts, Constant Companion takes the reader on a much-need excursion into the mind of God and his desires, emphasizing the fact that God longs for us to know him on a deeper level. However, Ami points out that it is extremely important to have an intimate relationship with God and not just a superficial one.
Readers will love the sense of familiarity that Ami exhibits throughout the Guide; her authenticity and loving nature is transparent and refreshing. Many times an important message goes right over a reader's head because of an unenthusiastic narrative style, but Ami is the complete opposite and I am so grateful to her! I recommend Constant Companion to those who wish to know God on a personal level or even those like me who just enjoy reading Christian works.

This author brought new perspective to stories I have heard since I was a kid. I have been in church and attended conferences my whole life. It is hard to share something new with me but Constant Companion did just that. Let me share just one little example.
The author explains how important intimate relationship with God is to Him and how the tragedy of the sin of Adam and Eve was not death but separation from that intimate relationship for which we were created.
Quote from book:
"Let's shift from the garden to the desert. When we move from the Garden of Eden to Mount Sinai, we have moved from a place of overflowing abundance in relationship to relational barrenness."
God wanted to invite all of Israel, not just a random individual here or there, to have that intimacy again but they were in a desert place and they were too afraid. I love how the author brings to life how relentlessly God has pursued relationship with us as His children but more specifically me.
It has changed my daily perspective of my walk with God. Knowing that He is longing to be with me. I have changed and I give Him more time to speak and talk with me and just hang out together. Thank you Ami Loper for encouraging me to go deeper.

Ami Loper’s style of writing in “Constant Companion” exudes uniqueness and authenticity. Many books in this genre can sound very formal, instructional, and to be honest at times can be a little boring. This books couldn’t be farther from that. I could sense the author’s warmth and enthusiasm within her writing, which kept me engaged, interested, and excited to hear her perspectives and guidance. The point of the book is to improve the reader’s intimacy and deepen their relationship with God. It highlights the importance of cultivating this type of relationship, and conveys how you cannot truly know how to act for Him until you know His word and prioritise your relationship. She offers new perspectives on Biblical stories and brings them into the present time, giving the readers an idea of how to develop a close relationship with God in our modern and forever evolving world. This book has transformed my religious daily practices by giving me direction in how best to do them. More than just motivation, I feel ready to give myself the discipline needed to consistently spend time with Him. This guide is a valuable resource and I highly suggest it to all Christians more interested in deepening their relationship with God.

While I don’t think I’m the right audience for this, I found it to be very well written, and it’s something I’d recommend to my more devout Christian friends, especially if they expressed a desire to be closer to God. That said, I found this to be an interesting book, and I enjoyed reading it. (Although my biblical knowledge is a little rusty, so I can’t speak to that portion of it). I appreciate how open Loper was about her own relationship with God, it adds a nice personal touch to the whole book. It also doesn’t feel like your typical self-help, and isn’t condescending in any way. Many people struggle with their relationship with God and their faith at least once in their spiritual journeys, and this book feels like a gentle guide to find your way back. If you’re a Christian, and questioning your faith or path, and want to strengthen that connection, then this book would be quite helpful for you.

I'm enjoying reading this book as I feel a lot of my relationship with God has grown into a checklist. Growing up in a pastor's home was a privilege and an opportunity filled with good and bad times as everything in life brings, but I think I carried over a lot of that into my relationship with God. Ami is really helping me see what true intimacy with the Lord looks like. Sadly, I usually get bored with these types of books as they seem to include a lot of "doing." Notice a theme in my life?!:) But this is refreshingly different!

Loper writes in such a way that encourages the reader to dive deep into an intimate true relationship with God.
