If you enjoyed Spare Change,Twelfth Child, Previously Loved Treasures or any of my other books I think you will love this one.

It is a story about stories. As you meander through Ophelia's many memories, you will come across some of the people and things you have loved in the other books.

Join Ophelia and Annie as they uncover the magical realism of life.

For those who are friends and fans, this book is now available for pre-order at the crazy wonderful price of 99 Cents. But hurry, it goes back

I was blessed to be able to read this book ahead of time with an advanced reader copy. The book is magical with bits of this author's other books woven in here and there. As I have read most if not all of Mrs Crosby's other books I found that to be quite delightful. Ophelia owns a beautiful bed and breakfast. It's not advertised and is left to chance that Annie happens to find the place. One might think that Ophelia is eccentric but she does not let Annie know too much too soon. Ophelia believes ...more

Fans of Bette Lee Crosby's work will love how this novel ties in elements from most of her others. But you don't need to have read Crosby's other novel to enjoy this story of a vulnerable young woman finding her way in the world, aided by the kindness of an older woman who has a unique gift. It's easy to love these two characters, and I hope they'll appear again in future Crosby stories!

This review is based on an advance reader copy. Opinions are mine alone.

I have loved every single one of Bette's books and Memory House took me back to some of the settings in those wonderful stories and let me reconnect with the great characters that I have come to love.

What an interesting idea, that memories are stored, but sometimes forgotten, and that there is a memory keeper who finds and cares for those memories.

'Good memories attach themselves to an inanimate object and stay there until the right person comes along. When they find a soul that welcomes them,

Bette Lee Crosby takes her Southern charm and flair and once again infuses it into her latest book.

I have been a fan of Bette for a while now and with each and every book I read, I feel like I keep returning home. She has such a way of drawing you into a story that you feel like you are living it right along with her. Each time I read one of her books I have a new favorite book.

In this story a distraught Annie Cross shows up on Ophelia Browne's door and together they discover the unique gift of

Memory House (Memory House Collection #1) by Bette Lee Crosby

Ophelia Browne has a special gift, that is finding and caring for forgotten memories. But now she’s nearing ninety and knows the end of her life is near. But she must find someone to fill her place, and keep the memories from fading.

I first fell in love with Bette Lee's work in 2013 when I read Spare Change. I have since read several of her books and have loved each and every one of them.

Memory House is an incredible treat. It tells the story of Annie, a young woman who is in an unsettled point in her life, and her relationship with Ophelia, an older woman who can "feel" memories. (view spoiler)

Memory is “the faculty by which the mind stores and recalls information.” Therefore, a memory is an individual experience, unique to the person who possesses it. Or is it? Can an inanimate object contain a memory? If so, can that stored memory be perceived by a person? The premise of Crosby’s novel is that an object can indeed store and transfer a memory.
In the Memory House, we meet Ophelia Brown, the spry ninety year old who has lived most of her adult life in a home filled with memories, bo

What an enchanting story! Bette Lee Crosby created a truly engaging storyline, with Ophelia and Annie! Just what I adore, another wonderful writer to follow! It is truly a gift when I find a writer that inspires me to read more of their books.
I hope to read all of her books and from what I read at the end of this story, there are a lot of “spin-offs” …so the story lives on! I was so grateful, as I was not ready for the story to end. Brilliant ending, by the way!
“Memory House” is the tale of two

The Memory House. Bette Crosby has an easy style that takes me right to the moment of the story. Annie is unhappy in her job. Her husband walked out on her not long ago. She decides to take a trip with no real destination in mind, just to forget. She winds up at The Memory House, a small Bed and Breakfast in Burnsville outside of Richmond VA. There she meets Ophelia a woman who has a small apothecary shop and seems to know just what Annie needs. As the memories in the house reveal themselves Ann ...more

What an intriguing premise for a storyline that blended the past with the present. The characters pulled you in from page one and kept your interest until the very end. What a soft spoken story told between two characters that made you feel like you were watching an old movie.
