I'll admit, I thought this was BL, but I don't think it is. There is no hint of it in here. I think it's justj eye candy. It looks BL. Jokes on me. Oh well.
It was good. An out of shape guy, really kind guy, goes to the gym and gets fit and ripped. He's making a karaoke video of himself that goes viral and all the sudden, he's the it guy. He meets some guys who want to dance and they are going to be an Idol group.
That's as much as happened in Volume one.
I find the story difficult to follow and I had no clue who was saying what. ...more

I enjoyed it. I think this is a love story, but you can't tell from the first volume of it. They are all kids and the main character is 12. Nothing happens on that front. This is the second time Priest has done this. She also did it in Sha Po Lang. I don't get why she doesn't have them age up sooner. I've read this whole volume and I have a clue about any couples forming. I don't think there was even a hint of romance, so maybe it isn't a love story. I must wait for the next volume.
We follow Cheng Qian, a poor farmer whose parents sell him to a cultivator for some silver since they are starving. Cheng Qian is almost heartless and driven. He doesn't want to be a nobody and a farmer. He is taken to Mount Fuyao to try with the grand masters other charges. They are a motley crew. The vain peacock Yan Zhengming or the is-he-or-isn't-he evil Li Yan with his toad potions and then Han Yuan who was also picked up along with Cheng Qian who is a little beggar. None of them go together and all of them are weird. Cheng Qian is the only one serious about cultivation. The others care about life.
Everything changes when they leave to go to a cultivation market. The story begins to really move along and that's where it ends.
I like the characters and the tone has been light and humorous. I have no idea what is going to happen. Still, Priest is able to get in there and make there characters suffer. She always does that. She knows how to do it.

I’ve missed then and it was good to catch up with them. Miyano is in his senior year of high school while Sasaki is in his Freshman year in college. They still see each other.
Finally, in this volume, a few more people are beginning to know they are a couple. Sasaki’s mom figures it out even. We don’t really see much about it. The story goes very fast.
The back half of the story is Miyano being busy running the cultural festival. Sasaki comes to that and we see Hiryano there as well. There are some super sweet moments.
Sasaki is growing up and he even took out some earrings. The two are growing older and it seems like their relationship should grow as well. They only ever kiss and Miyano is still embarrassed doing that. It feels like their relationship is stalled out, I suppose.
This is not the end. There will be a volume 11, so I’ll read that too. ...more

So Yeo Eui-joon, a convenience store worker, works the night shift while going to college. His store must be in a bad part of town or something because all these gangsters keep coming in and wanting things for free and being bullies. I have to say, I would be looking for another job. I just sounds scary to me. That's asking for trouble.
One night, a guy is demanding a bunch of free stuff and Eui-joon is wishing a hero shows up. Then Gunwooj does show up. He hits the guy and knocks him out saying he took too long.
Eui-joon has drama at school and his family is a wreck and his brother is in the hospital, so there is lots of stress, but Eui-Joon is still so sweet and sparkly. He has a great personality and deals with it all amazing.
Eventually, He and Gunwooj begin talking. Gunwooj seems to be a great listening as Eui-joon just talks about anything. Eui-Joon suspects Gunwooj is a gangster of some kind.
They become neighbors somehow. Gunwooj seems to be in the wrong building. It doesn't fit him.
This volume was pretty great. I look forward to volume 2.

We have Masato and Asahi, both working adults. They have been roommates in a friends apartment. The story starts with things being rocky between the two.
Asahi’s brother shows up and he has a past with Masato. After some guilt and backstory, we see Masato move out.
It seems all hope is lost, accept that Asahi is very depressed without Masato. He’s a different person.
All the friends of these two are working to get them back together. Everyone an see they are a good match. Finally Masato figures out that even if he did something to hurt the brother-in-law, he still loves Asahi. Finally, they figure things out.
It’s a straight-forward story. The romance is good and the personalities go well with each other I love when a love story wraps up and things seem so happy.
I also really like the bar owner and the owner of the apartment, Naru. He’s an excellent character. I could see more story about him. ...more

We find out seven’s past and everything he has been through. He is brought back into the underworld. Guess who rescues him, sort of. Akamatsu shows up in the middle and is able to pull seven out of that world once again.
The story wraps up with them going on a vacation to a traditional spa. I love the nature walk. How silly.
I believe this is the last volume in the story. It’s nice to have a three volume story and it’s over. It feels like the perfect place to stop.

This volume is mostly flashbacks of Isis, Seth and Osiris. We do get to know why things are happening in this volume, but it feels slow and plodding. I’m still very annoyed that none of the bubbles point to who’s speaking. I get confused as to who is saying what. I don’t understand why do that.
We see what happened between Seth and Osiris. Osiris was in love with Seth and tried to woo him. Everyone seemed to know. I tell you what, all those gods are crazy. Every one of them. I guess power does truly corrupt. I suppose it’s just a world that corrupts.
Horus is learning much about his family. Who knows what he thinks of it all. How will he go crazy? He must know he has to to be in that family.
I do love this story about Egyptian mythology, but it sure is crazy. I wish things were a little more clear in the writing. I don’t think they used a person to translate. I think it’s a program of some sort. Maybe, that’s why things are a little confusing. Oh well.
I enjoy this story and it’s getting a little old. It ends on a cliff hanger. We also get to see how Osiris dies.

We see Wei Ying back at Lotus pier after defeating Xuanwu. All the Jiang Clan drama happens with his parents.
Then, bang, the Wen Clan invaded Lotus Pier and it’s all death and dying. Xie Jie isn’t even around anywhere. All this happens and then Cheng is rescued and taking to Wen Qing for healing.
Bang, they go see Baoshan Sanren and , Bang Wei Ying is kidnapped by the Wen Clan. They skip the beating and just dump him in the Yiling mounds.
Boom, now it’s three months later and Wei Ying is getting his ghostly revenge. I mean, this thing just zips through all of this. It’s disorienting how quickly it skips through time.
Bang, the flashback is over and Wen Chao is dead and Wei Ying is back at Gusu. They find the music that Meng Yao is using to curse Clan leader Nie. Here’s is something. IN the book Lan Xichen finally tells Wei Ying about Lan Zhan’s past and what he did for Wei Ying. He basically tells him, he loves Wei Ying. This skips it.
The volume ends with them stopping at a farmhouse.
I feel like this is combining the book material with the TV material. They are leaving out all the good moments between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying. I doubt they are going to do the extra chapters. Those are too graphic for this story.
I was hoping this would be the complete story. It looks to be abridged. Such a shame. ...more

After Tsugumi is almost bitten on the neck, the boys decide to mate and then get married. Megumi wants his dad’s blessing.
There is a great fight scene with ten guys are trying to bully Megumi. It was so awesome. It cements them as a couple. Who can’t love them after that.
There is also a chapter of Tsugumi’s dad’s after they got married that was well done. They work way too hard in Japan. It’s insane. No wonder their population is dropping.

Luffy is taking on the captain, but we don’t get the final battle in this volume. That will be next volume.
We do get the back story of Sanji and Zeff. I knew this one because it was so well done in the show. It’s intense and touching. 85 days marooned on a rock. Wow! That’s a long time.
The story is fun. I think once the story gets really going, there are bigger themes that show up and mythology, but now, it’s mostly just fun watching pirates fight. I like the show better at this point. I’ll soon run out of show material and all will be new.
I will keep going. I mean, there are only 1170 more volumes to read or something. ...more

One day, she is sick and is taken to the local pediatrician, Dr. Takafumi. He is so serious, but good with kids. The two adults become friends.
What I like about this is the light-hearted nature of the story. It’s pure fun to read. The doctor is so serious while Shuji is a total ‘let’s have fun’ kind of guy. He is quite funny and I like how he tries to get a reaction from the doctor and it’s never what he expects and he’s the one reacting. It’s so well done. I can’t wait for volume 2. ...more

We start off with kids going to an amusement park and going to the horror ride of terror.
We get a lot of Sato’s background. His parents sent him off to a ‘fat farm’ like nothing you’ve seen before. The students get chased by wild dogs and it keeps getting worse. It’s survive or be eaten. Sato grows strong as do all the kids there.
Yosida has some backstory too with more of how he helped Sato back then. He has a scar on his face we find out the history of.
Then Sato take Yosida to the house of terror and Yosida holds on to Sato the entire time, which is why Sato enjoys it.
The girls at their school are absolutely insane. They are crazy.

He is able to bring our modern knowledge into his world of magic and cultivation, but will it be enough. Can he change things fast enough to save everyone?
We keep hearing about the new demon King and in this one, we finally get to meet him.He is a worthy villain. He seems to be as quick as Lu Jie in cultivation and changing things.
Lu Jie is now master of his sect. He works hard to do everything he can to prepare. We see his spirits advance more. Mortals are doing more and more and all under him are now able to cultivate.
Lu Jie receives a summons to meet the emperor of the Azure Empire. He must go. They make their way there through unnatural storms and assassination attempts.
He meets all sorts of powerful people in the capital. He must face off against the alchemy academy and meet divinities like the Shie divinity. This book felt more rushed than normal. The world is expanding so quickly and there isn’t as much time to cultivation. Lu Jie seems to master things just too quickly. But he is smart and can figure them out quickly.
So, this volume, Lu Jie is considered a Sage and we learn he has a high cultivation. Still, compared to a divinity, he has a long way to go.
We also learn the background of Old man in this story. I love that part.
This was a good book. It’s not my favorite cultivation story, but it’s entertaining and I enjoy it. I like it when the world is a little smaller and as it gets bigger, it’s difficult to relate too.

I've read the whole novel and it was a good story about two working Japanese artist, one a TV news anchor and one a stop-motion animator.
The artwork is well done and lots of detail go into it. This manga follows the story closely and they get the heart of the story.
Kuneida Kei almost has a split personality. He's the perfect news anchor and also a caustic selfish anger feuled anybody. At work, he plays the perfect person and once he's home, he wears disguises and lets his nasty flag fly.
Tsuzuki is the artist and he is mostly a normal person accept he sort of likes both sides of Kei. I don't get why. Tsuzuki is being interviewed by Kei and then he is hurt when this thug looking kid walks into the road and Tsuzuki gets hurt avoiding him. He doesn't know they are the same person.
The two don't seem to work and yet they sort of do.

The artwork is great. The character work is nice too. Kuga is annoying. He hates his roommate and he’s a slob. He does grow on you after some time. Igarashi is the roommate and he is a quiet type. He’s also a neat freak and he keeps the dorm room from falling into utter chaos. It looks like he is sort of finding ways to touch Kuga and make this happen.
