Read 2 times. Last read November 6, 2019 to December 14, 2019.

This book was really sad and hard to read at times. It's about two young boys that were sexually abused by their new pastor. They had already lost their dad and the pastor they grew up with had just moved away. After deciding to take the pastor and the church to court the boys and their mother had to go through all of it again in the public eye. There were some very disturbing, but not surprising events throughout the book that the church took into their own hands. I gave this book 4 stars due to the fact that unless you are an attorney, studying law, or in the court system in some way you can get really lost with all the legal terminology. I feel like it was a bit much and distracted the reader from the true meaning of the story. Overall it was a very enticing book and leads you to believe that there is still justice in this world if you just speak up.
