I've read it once and listened to it once. I like the first two better, definitely. And I don't know if I even like this series so much as Mary Calmes is my favorite meth/coke/sugar combination. I just reached the part where Logan says "throbbing with pheromones" and I wanted to beat my head in with my Kindle.

Only Reah's are aware. Semel's "know" their mates though (I'm pretty sure).

As for (view spoiler)[Domin and Yuri--I think it depends on who has the golden skin. But Mary's tricky--normally I would say he who has the golden skin is Jory, but in these books Logan has the golden skin and he's Sam. So confusing. (hide spoiler)]

You know, I like this series, but between it and the Mangrove series I really miss her cops. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET MORE COPS, MARY?!?!

I'm at 75%. Every time I put the book down & then pick it up again I have to work at remembering who all these people are again. Either I have old lady brain or there's too many fucking people in this book.

Did you ever read Floodgates? There was a HUGE asshole ex in that book. I wonder if Koren's going to play that role or she's going to attempt to semi-redeem him. So did you like it? Too violent? For some reason I hate horror books and movies but violence in books like this never bothers me that much. Dunno why.

I did like it. I didn't think it was too violent. Actually that's what I liked. I love violence in books, movies, shows so this was ridiculously entertaining as usual. Sure, all the werepather laws and rules and shit make no fucking sense and nobody knows them, except for Jin, or when it's convenient to the plot, even tho they all live and die by them so you'd think everyone in the werepather world would learn them. Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's MC so I just go with it and enjoy the ridiculous entertainment and the hot lubeless, fluttering hole sex.

EXACTLY. No one ever knows what's going on other than Jin (and maybe the priest--whatever his name is). Like in the first book--Crane had traveled around with a reah for 8 fucking years and yet knows NOTHING about them. (Of course, by this book, he's like the reah/nekhene-whisperer). But it's not his fault he's a moron. Like Danny in this book, his role was to act like an idiot so Jin (or sometimes someone else) can explain to the readers what's going on. Very convenient.

Yep, I guess that was the point of Danny tagging along. And Logan's whole tribe is completely fucking clueless even Logan didn't seem to shit in the 1st book. You'd think that the freakin' Semel would know the laws.
