did not like it

** spoiler alert ** This is easily the worst book I've ever read in my entire life.

SPOILER ALERT:
She comes back from heaven to bang the guy she liked.

If you like this book, then you hate literature. It's that simple. I'm not joking. Do not read this book.

Michelle Amarante I honestly could not get past the first chapter. At the time I had a child about the same age as the child in the book and also live in a rural area. It freaked me out. The book literally got thrown across the room, and shortly afterwards relegated to the basement bookcase. In time I may try to read it again.

Nerdread It was the most horrible book i ever read!!!! i am only 16 i shouldn't have read it. ugh i couldn't even get past the horrible parts, God i will never ever read adult books again.

Viccy I had absolutely no desire to read this book. Why anyone would want to read about a child who is raped and murdered is beyond me.

Viccy: I was in a book club when it came out, read it, on bestseller list, and it was terrible. I thought it was terrible, passed it to some co-workers (women) who read it and did not give it much praise at all...in fact none with comments like, it was ok or less praise than that. You're not missing anything, in my opinion.

I'm with S C. Gave it one star, I'm sure. After years, still hating the book.

Caroline "If you like this book, then you hate literature" .... that's a bit harsh...

Elizabeth I just wanna say that I don't care what your opinion of the book is: It is really offensive to say you would recommend it for retards.

message 7: by Deb (new) - rated it 4 stars

Deb Atwood Agreed, Elizabeth!

Jolayne This book isn't suspense, or mystery, it's real life. It's what real life people, in real life families, would feel in real life situations. Which is why Seabold wrote it in the first place, to "give a story to the faces she saw on milk cartons at a young age" she succeeded, and beautifully so. You're entitled to your opinion too, but you don't need to be demeaning to those of us who were effected by this book.

Renee West yeah, the retards comment just completely invalidates this reviewer.

olve.w nour y’all wrong it was lovely and susie can come back to life to bang a guy if she wants

Subahar Ariyarasa If I like it, I hate literature? Where do you get off with that kind of crap? Speak about your opinion of the book only and leave other readers out of it. Asshole
