This is where members meet with higher ups to negotiate contracts and recieve missions. It also functions as a bar with a staff of waitresses ready to serve all manner of alcoholic beverages.

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments How had Draven come to find himself in this place was unknown to him. He had woken up a behind a building a few hours ago and had made his way into the tavern. His human form didn't exactly blend in with the others in the tavern, so he kept his attention sharp. He was dressed in black from head to toe, and he kept a hand to his side, close to the hidden dagger, but not enough to give away its true location. So far he hadn't been approached by a waitress but he hadn't been here long.

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "You clearly don't belong here, Sweetest." Asla spoke to the man across from her at another table. She stood, dragging her chair with her in one hand and her drink in the other, settling herself at his table. "So. You lookin' to hire?" In her experience, anyone who came to the Salty Dog and wasn't a thief, was looking to hire one.

message 4: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments His head turned to look towards the voice. He suppressed a smile, he had heard about this woman before, but couldn't remember who had told him about her. He sat back in his chair as she dragged one over, and smiled as she settled in at his table. "No I'm not, that's not how I handle things." He said knowing that that might spark her interest.

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "Oooo." She snorted. "You're one of the good ones, are you? That, or you're even worse than this lot." After downing the last of her drink and slamming it on the table, harder than necessary, she leaned forward. "Which is it, then?"

message 6: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments He huffed a breath. Wow. Okay. "Depends on what is required of me to do." He said tilting his head to the side and testing her patience, and to see how drunk she was. "I'm assuming you're either the later of the two." He said judging by her appearance. He put both hands on the table and leaned forward, his eyes studying her.

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "What's that supposed to mean?" She narrowed her eyes at him. "D'you think you're better than me or somethin?" She sneered to let him know wasn't gonna tolerate being insulted. She wasn't above using her fists to make a point. Besides, half the bar, including the owner, owed her a favor or two, so if it came to that, she'd have backup. Not that she needed it. She could take 'im on her worst day.

message 8: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments "I'm just saying my methods vary while you may stick to just one." Looking down at her empty glass. She might need another round soon, and he had a feeling he might have to buy. He quickly reached down to pat his pockets, nothing. Crap. "I mean, I'm not wrong, am I?" He asked taking his arms back to his side after shrugging.

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "I use whatever means is necessary to get a job done." She leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms. "So, you're not here to hire... What are you here for, then? 'Cos I know just about everyone who frequents this place, and you're not one of 'em. And don't say you're here for the food 'cos then I'd know you're lying."

message 10: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments “That is an excellent question that I’m still looking for the answer to” Draven said simply, a small smile appeared then a laugh, he really didn’t know why he was here, but someone needed him. He looked around at all the people in the tavern, yeah he stood out like duck in the middle of a chicken coop. “But is the food any good?” He asked raising an eyebrow and trying to change the topic, but knew it wouldn’t last.

message 11: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "The food's mediocre." Asla shrugged.
Squinting slightly, she just stared at him for a whole two minutes, saying nothing.
"You, my friend, are a riddle, and I happen to like riddles."

message 12: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments He scrunched his face at the news of the food being mediocre. "I'll eat later then." He said though the smell coming from the kitchen made him think otherwise.
Keeping her gaze he waited. Something was eating at her and she would probably end up saying sooner than later.
"Oh really? I find riddles intriguing but at the same time frustrating." Draven said seeing where she would take this.

message 13: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "Exactly the way I feel about you!" She grinned. "You know what would help a whole lot? If I knew your name. Mine's Asla."

message 14: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments “Oh stop.” He teased in a playful voice, though he secretly didn’t mind frustrating and intriguing her.
“That would help Alsa? Wouldn’t knowing my name make me less intriguing Alsa?” He said smiling like a good. The golden flakes in his eyes sparkled. “I’m kidding, well not really, the name’s Draven.” He extended a firm hand over the table for her to shake.

message 15: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments She shook his hand then let her hand drop onto the table. "That's just it, Draven." She liked the name. It was interesting and flowed easily off her tongue. "I can't stand leaving a riddle unsolved." She paused for effect and leaned in. "I will solve you, Dearest, even if it takes me all day."

message 16: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments He couldn’t help but smile. He could tell that she was very intrigued, which could be a good thing. Turning his head to the side to emphasize that he was listening to her he spoke when she was done.
“You know, some riddles do go unsolved.” He pointed out. It may just take her more than one day, and he didn’t know if she was serious about following him until she figured him out or not.

message 17: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "Not when I'm the one solving 'em." She quirked up a brow. "And you're makin me more and more curious. You have a way about you that tells me you have a secret." Her lips spread into a devious grin.

message 18: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments “Maybe my secret is out in the open and you just don’t see it.” Draven retorted, mocking her quirked eyebrow. He shook his head and smiled. “Well, I believe I’ve got a new shadow for today. Am I right Alsa?” He asked guessing her intentions. Having another shadow wouldn’t be a bad thing, well depending on what he is up against.

message 19: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments "Ahh, so you're admitting that you have a secret, then?" She pursed her lips in thought. "Well... I s'pose I could follow you around for a day, but you would know it and not do anything to give yourself away." She smiled at the fact that she accidentally rhymed. "No, as tempting as it sounds, I'll pass and find another way to pry the secret out of you."

message 20: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments He gave a smug smile in response to her question regarding his secret. It wasn’t even that big of a secret but he had a feeling he might hold it over her head for a little while longer.
His face fell in false emotion, “awe I was looking forward to you taggin along, it’s might be an interesting day.” He said peeking back up. Speaking of which he may need to go find out why he was here anyways.

((So if you haven’t already guessed, draven’s job is to be a guardian to those who need it, and appears where/when someone needs him. But he isn’t an official part of the guardian group, his backstory is different. Does that make sense?))

message 21: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments ((Yeah, totally! So how do you think that can tie in with Asla's story?))

message 22: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments She smiled, unable to resist the lure of feeling wanted, even in the slightest of ways. "Oh, alright, consider me your shadow. Where're you off to next, then? Hm?"

message 23: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments ((I mean she is a bounty hunter, so it could be her current job that brought him here. It either being her that ends up needing the help or the target, though I’d prefer not to make them hate each other. Or it could just be some other character really fast. Idk))

Realizing what he had done he looked around the tavern, looking for anything out of place. “Good question.” He said standing up, his gaze lingering on the exit door. “Let’s go find out though.” He said, a feeling of tiredness washing over him, though he covered it up with a smile.

message 24: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments ((I like the idea of her being one one needing help))

Asla looked around as well, although not entirely sure what she was looking for.
"Alright." She nodded once and then stood, having to hold the edge of the table to steady herself as she swayed slightly. She didn't think she'd had that much to drink. "Well, let's go then."

message 25: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments ((Whatever you want to happen, it is your character. Just kind of lead the Roleplay in the general direction you what it to go.
And any idea of where to take this next? What is close by? Besides the treasury, cause I don’t wish to take a outside into the thieves treasury. We could just keep it in the tavern if you wanted.))

Draven noticed the swaying. “Oh boy.” He muttered to himself. This would most definitely be interesting. He partially wondered if they would make it out the door. “You good?” He asked, refusing to move from his spot until he knew she was capable of anything right now.

message 26: by Princess Emilia (new)

Princess Emilia | 155 comments (I'm not sure, there aren't very many places to choose from, especially because some of them are currently in use)

"Psht!" She waved a hand dismissively, "I'm great! Just stood too fast." Her eyes darted around the tavern as she was suddenly hit with the strangest feeling that someone was watching her. But she knew just about everyone there, and those she didn't recognize seemed pretty harmless and didn't pay any attention to her.

message 27: by Kya | Diamond (new)

Kya | Diamond | 213 comments ((Okay. If you think of something or if I do, just say so. And if something opens up we can move it or just stay here. I’m following you.))

“Alrighty, if you say so.” Draven said still unsure as ever. He noted her eyes moving around swiftly, a bit wildly as well. After giving a glance around at the people he looked at her again, starting to see a puzzle that needed to be solved.
“Let’s begin making our way to the door, shall we?” Draven asked ready to offer assistance in the form of his hand, but still managing to make it a ‘Let’s go’ gesture.

((The Outskirts are the closest non-Guild location. You can use threads that are in use, by the way. Just be sure to clarify who you are posting to. I'm partial to the '@Screenname, Blahblahblah.' method.))

Princess Emilia | 155 comments (Lets go to the outskirts)

"Yeah..." she muttered absentmindedly, unable to shake off the sense of paranoia surrounding her. It felt... unreal. Like it wasn't her own feeling, but radiating off of someone else. This wasn't like her.

*exit*
