Our second July group read (it's summer and time for thrillers!) is Hannah Mary McKinnon's Never Coming Home. US Release date May 24, 2022

It's downloaded onto my tablet along with The Paris Apartment.

I figured I would read that one first before starting Never Coming Home. Most likely be at the 2nd half of July before I start.

Jess: The Libby estimate for this one is still 3 weeks. Sometimes those estimates do come up sooner. It will be after The Paris Apartment for me too. Looking forward to it!

Ooh. Didn't I just post that I had too many on my list to add anything else? But, this last line of the GR ad hooked me...

Luckily I don't have a spouse to side-eye (love that term) so you spouses will have to tell me if that happens, LOL.

Ha-ha...when I read that line, I thought of all the times I was mad or aggravated with the hubby that I couldn't pass a photo of him without rolling my eyes at it.

I read the Kindle sample and it was pretty good. Now to buy it/download!

I'm planning to listen to this group read and for The Paris Apartment e-book read so will wait on my library turn for this one on audio.

My local book club chose this also for our book of the month, so slow and steady. Started it last night.

I think I just had my "side-eye your spouse" moment😒🙄

It's good! The main character is a sicko but somehow keeps me engaged anyway. Three quarters of the way through and I don't know how it will end. Unless the ending falls to pieces I'm pretty sure the group will enjoy this book.

I've never read it but I sooo have my theory...I just have that kind of mind. I totally agree with your thoughts on Lucas, but I love it when Authors make it from this kind of character's POV

Just got my turn for the audio, so after I finish the latest Rizzoli and Isles, Listen To Me, I'll start this one. Looking forward to it (I think, ... with a 'sicko' mc)

I just started Overboard after finishing The Paris Apartment. Never Coming Home is next maybe.

I finished it. I will try to work on a synopsis tonight for the other thread unless somebody else has been taking notes & is close to the end.

Russ, that was quick! If you want to do a synopsis on the spoilers thread, feel free. A few group reads back we loosely decided to forego doing the ‘full synopsis’ method of commenting on the spoilers welcome thread. It was seeming like more of a chore than fun to do. Having a short synopsis is still fine, but now instead we encourage those who would prefer to just comment to mention how far along their spoilers cover in the book and jump in without the synopsis requirement.

I'm at the end of chapter 35....WHY???!!! If you know, you know and that's enough about that🤬

Sorry, I didnt want to go further in case someone hasn't read that far yet. I was almost in tears and it ticked me off that I didn't want to read any further. I'll post it in the spoiler section when I get done. I most likely will finish tomorrow.

I just started listening to this and am hooked. Can't wait to get to Chapter 35 and Jess's "why????" moment, LOL, but I'm a LONG way off.
