Ann (annrumsey) | 16652 comments So close to finishing my original challenge for twenty-two books, Probably crazy, but I'm going to tack on the additional ten for an added incentive. After buying ten new audible audio books in a recent sale I need it!

Ann (annrumsey) | 16652 comments ok, one down, book one in a trilogy. Call Down the Hawk
I have book two lined up, perhaps it will be book #2. I have a couple of pre-orders I will hope to get to soon after release with 11/15/2022 The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times by Michelle Obama and 11/29/2022 A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny Ten by the end of the year at my current rate is indeed a challenge.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16652 comments Five done, only two audible books, but the two Libby books are prep to read (in order) No Plan B on audible and I was determined to ignore all other Kindle books calling to me to read the Poe NetGalley book.
Luna: New Moon was better than I first thought, still too many character switches with cliff hangers, but that effectively hooked me into probably reading the next one.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16652 comments I've added two NetGalley books as those will allow me to get my feedback percentage up. Parachute Women: Marianne Faithfull, Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Anita Pallenberg, and the Women Behind the Rolling Stones by Elizabeth Winder and A Mystery of Mysteries: The Death and Life of Edgar Allan Poe by Mark Dawidziak.. I do have four to go with four audible books targeted, I don't think I will get to all of them by the end of the year though.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16652 comments My original focus on September 24 when I started this new additional ten challenge was to read ten more audible audio books - and while I have read 25 audio books since then, the majority were Libby library sources. I am going to have to push to see if I can get at least one or two more done.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16652 comments Carol: I will get at least one more, I am a third of the way into A World of Curiosities and hooked. I know you mentioned reading it too. I've generally set my Libby audiobooks aside for now, though I did grab The Old Woman with the Knife to be ready for our January group read.

For my goodreads goal I had help from a few kindle freebies which were short. Which 2023 it's going to be different. I'll be doing some different things. I'm using a little inklings reading planner that has review pages, challenges etc. might be adding in a few different challenges. plus I joined besides my library book club I'm doing their Short story one starting in January. so I'm hoping to add those into the group.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9331 comments My library is doing a challenge, a different book each month, but the categories were too varied for me, and some of them I weren't interested in at all so I'd just be doing it to be doing it. That's no fun for me. I know some folks like to be challenged to read different things, but a little of that goes a long way with me because I have such a long list of things I want to get to.
