Hi all new here, I'm an aspiring YA fiction writer. I've published one queer family memoir (three dads and a baby, 2021) and have another memoir with my agent and have several YA books with queer characters I'd love to share while i work on selling them - feedback desired not required. Would send by email if anyone is interested.
1) Romeo and Julian - modern queer retelling. The Montaguez family supplies fentanyl, and the Capulets distribute and use the proceeds to corrupt conservative politics. Their sons Romeo and Julian just want to be loved... when they connect at the masquerade ball and fall in love, fates are sealed - but whose? Pursued by closet case tybalt, and a nameless deadly political assassin who runs their parents, and aided by a trio of drag queens and the born female Capulet security chief Matt Tran, R+J decide to fake their deaths for a chance at true love...
2) The Hunted Mage and the Dying Prince: since the cleaving of the magic Giftstone, the world has been divided into the rival Amari and Saarthan nations, each side nurturing incompatible prophesies about victoriously reuniting their halves of the stone. Magic records great deeds in new stars, permits some people to change genders and form, and wield great power, but now, that magic appears to be on the verge of dying out. Mysterious shape shifting rebel warrior Ashiki risks outright war by kidnapping prince Jonah, who's suffering a fatal magical malady. If they can work together... and even fall in love... they might be able to save their nations and magic itself.
