Just do it. Ignore everyone who says you aren't gonna be a writer and write. Take classes, go to seminars, analyze other's writing and find your style. Then when you're finished your book, hire a professional editor. The money you spend on a good quality professional editor, as long as you listen and don't get defensive, will make your book that much better.
