Hi, Mr. Hosseini! I am your biggest fan! I just wanted to know, did your words come naturally to you from the start or did you struggle when you weren't that experienced a writer? I ask this because being an amateur writer, I'm having a hard time impressing myself with what I've come up with till date. And if you did struggle at first, what did you do to remedy it?

Thank you for your kind comments! To be blunt, nothing comes naturally to me and I have found that nothing is easy about writing. It is a struggle each and every day and every sentence is work. The great writers make their prose seem fluid and effortless, but that does not mean that there wasn’t hard work, trial and error, and frustration behind it.

Given that you lived a big part of your life away from Afghanistan, How did you learn about the pains and the experiences of Afghans? Don't you think maybe because you did not live those pains that you wrote about Afghanistan in a way different from how an Afghan who lived there would write? Regardless of your response I love your books....
