So I actually read this entire series in the last two months, and while I added all 5 volumes to my read shelf I didn’t want it to count as 5 books toward any of my reading goal for this year seeing as they are all rather short graphic novels. So, I’ve added my thoughts and a date to only this final installment in the series.
This is a cute romance with a fun main cast of characters & a really beautiful art style. I think, however, it would’ve appealed to me a bit more back when I was in middle school. It falls into the same category as Furuba & Nana so if you’re a fan of those manga this one will probably be a great pick for you!...more

An early, healthy love of anime is what lead me to the group of friends I have maintained for more than a decade now, and so with this series being my "gateway" of sorts, I feel that I owe it a lot.
I've wanted to read the manga in its entirety for a long time now, so I finally decided I would very very slowly work my way through, reading a chapter or two whenever I have a spare moment. No rushing.
There are many individual volumes, so I've decided to track my progress with the 3-in-1 bind up editions so as not to clog up my shelves or my friends' feeds while still giving myself credit for reading this massive series.
I will not be writing full reviews for each bind up, but rather one conclusive review once I make it to the very end, which I expect will be quite a while from now. So, until then! ♥...more

This story has been so much fun for me to follow over the last couple of years. I fully intend to keep up with the series for as long as it takes to become a completed work.
I'm devoted to these characters, and my appreciation for Fiona Staples' illustrations & Brian K. Vaughn's unique storytelling runs so deep.
All I can say is that if you haven't yet picked up this series here is the sign you've been waiting for....more

It's a little difficult for me not to compare this to Vaughn's other ongoing series Saga, which had me hooked from the very first installment.
This was was very okay.
Vol. 1 could've benefitted from being a bit longer, providing a little more depth of plot and characterization.
I was really feeling a young, diverse female cast on an 80's science fiction adventure. I was even getting a Stranger Things vibe from it at the beginning.
But alas, there just isn't a lot of substance here.
I'll likely try out Vol. 2 before writing the series off to see if it gets its footing, but a disappointing introduction to say the least....more
