I need to admit something. I've never "gotten" Neil Gaiman's books. They confuse the hell out of me. I really never know where he is going with a story. *gasp*
This one was some freaky ass shit. Some old guy wants to perform a ceremony to capture "Death". Yeah..okay.
Anyways, he ends up capturing our guy Dream.
Dream bides his time. Then he wants his domain back. Then some more freaky ass shit goes down.
I see a whole lot of fangirls and boys on these books. Don't kill me yet. I have another one to read.
But I'm skeered...

I was reading this and it was quite hard to really understand what was going on. I might pick it up again. Nice review :)

They get weirder and weirder. I couldn't take it after volume 3 (I think). Like random thoughts on a page with really bad art. *shudder*

I only have book 2. I can't see myself seeking the rest of them out. Random thoughts is really how this one felt too.
Gaiman is an acquired taste. Shallow readers like me zone out while reading.

Yeah it is weird but IT'S AWESOME WEIRDNESS!Though that woman on dream's dust creeped me out. Oo it would be cool if they put that in Constantine but don't even get me started on that STUPID DUDE WHO GOT AWAY WITH EVERYTHING! I HATE THAT GUY! UGH!

Now I loved the Constantine part..that part was awesomeness..isn't there books with just him in them?
Yes. They are called Hellraiser I think. I should read them. I love the show.

good review :) sometimes i have to re-read Gaimen or read the next in the series to understand fully. his non-comic books have confusing moments too. i'm collecting this series slowly im up to 10 now. if you know the movies "Coraline" and "Stardust" those are stories from Gaimen as well. everything he does is a trip out, be it good or bad :P
