Hmm... I'm not sure why Chandresh throws the knife. I never understood this scene when I read it when I was younger and I still don't seem to understand it now. I don't know if Alexander somehow played a role in it or if it was merely an accident. I doubt it though. Curious.

It's hard to visualize the details because it's all so intricate. But the worldbuilding and everything about the Circus is just so magnificent to the point where my mind can't even really imagine it all because it's unlike anything else I've ever seen or pictured.

The Night Circus was one of my favorite books when I was younger. I own three different editions and I've probably read it about 5 times the year it came out. Now that I'm older and perceive books at a different angle than I did before, I'm hoping I can read this book and pick up on things I didn't understand when I was younger. Hopefully it'll still remain an all-time favorite in the end. :)
