Any chance that Rules of Civility might be made into a movie? I am an avid film fan but so disappointed with nothing but super-hero movies of late. You novel would be a treat on the big screen and actors would be squaring off to land a role!

For a few years, RULES OF CIVILITY has been in development at Lionsgate to make a feature film. Recently, however, Lionsgate has shifted course and decided to make it into a long form television movie/series - so that they don't have to cut the story. Now, cross your fingers and wait.

Seldom do we come across a masterpiece such as A Gentleman in Moscow. The story develops flawlessly, the writing is impeccable, the depth of the characters is reminiscent of the great authors such as Proust & Tolstoi (yes I said it!) - Thank you for writing such a book. Can we expect a third novel anytime soon?

I have just returned from a two week holiday in Russia travelling from St Petersburg to Moscow by river. Moscow is a beautiful city and we learned a lot about Russian culture from a perfect English speaking Russian tour guide. It was so wonderful reading A Gentleman in Moscow as I knew all the places mentioned in the book as well as the historical references. Did you spend much time in Moscow before you wrote it?

I loved "Rules of Civility" and had the pleasure of meeting you, years ago at a book signing when it first came out at a bookstore in Baltimore. I read a ton and it's relatively rare that a character stays with me for a while the way that Katey has. My question to you is- what is the best thing you've read last year?
