I thought this story was good, but it didn't stand out to me as something that will stay with me. I feel like I've read similar stories before and have enjoyed some of them more. It didn't help that I struggled with the art style - I didn't find the characters very recognizable, so I struggled to tell them apart and keep track of who's who, which made it harder to follow along with the narrative. I did enjoy the writing, the humour and the colour scheme, but it wasn't enough for me to really enjoy this....more

I would describe this as Heartstopper for adults with a wonderful fantasy twist. It's a perfect comfort read with characters who feel real and interesting, adorable slowburn romance, and super fun world building.
I already read this on Webtoon when I found out it was being released, inhaled the whole thing, and then read it again physically, since the Dutch translation is already out. I loved it even more the second time around!...more

I was invited to read the first few chapters through Netgalley a few months ago, which had me really excited to continue. Having read the full graphic novel now, I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, the story itself made a lot less of an impression on me. It was cute and wholesome, but it felt choppy and like I was missing a lot of context. I don't think this graphic novel will be super memorable for me....more

It was a pretty comforting read, even though it does deal with some heavier themes. I do think the way these heavier themes were dealt with felt a little haphazard at times - they were discussed in small bursts and I was missing some structure. All in all, I really did enjoy this though!...more

I had some trouble understanding Ash's motivations though, mainly because I wouldn't survive a day out in the woods and I can't comprehend why you would want to. I understood Ash wanting to find their grandad's cabin, but after they found it, the story quickly went downhill for me as it just all seemed very rosecoloured and unlikely.
The book finally lost me when Ash coming back home felt really glossed over. Everyone seemed to get over the whole situation very easily. I would have wanted a meaningful conversation between Ash and their family, at the very least....more

There's mini comics from 40 autistic creators, and I really loved most of them - some of them I even recognized from seeing them online at some point.
I'm definitely picking up a physical copy of this, because it'll be a great resource to revisit regularly. There's lots of empowering and uplifting stuff, and also even coping strategies.

Kit has passed away, and her soul goes on a 49-day journey after her death, following Buddhist tradition. We follow her journey, as well as her looking back on her life through flashbacks. And we follow her family in their time of grief, working through this loss together.
At first, the family's perspective felt the most touching to me, but admittedly, I might have shed a tear or two when reading Kit's storyline at the end. This is a true example of when less is more, and invoked so much emotion in me....more

I'm so glad this is getting published physically, because it's AMAZING and I know I'm going to need a copy. It's the perfect amounts of dark and suspenseful yet cute, cosy and funny. If that sounds strange, I'm sorry, I can't explain it any better. I thought this was so well done, and I already adore both characters....more

This story is so charming. We follow Blanca, who leaves home at 18 to make it in New York. She quickly meets Emile and moves in with him and his many roommates, finding friendship and support. The book has such a large cast of characters, but everyone felt distinctive, and we got to meet everyone one on one, as Blanca has personal conversations with them.
I truly got sitcom vibes from this story, and it has the potential to go on for many installments. Be sure to preorder because you're in for a lot of fun!...more
