And while Jeremy and Rafe's relationship was wholesome, Emelie and Skya's relationship felt so underdeveloped I couldn't care less about these two. Even Rafe and Skye supposedly had this very strong friendship, but I felt none of it. Their supposed chemistry relies heavily on all the years they spent together in the past in this whimsical world, but since we as readers aren't fully shown that on page but rather told, I found it hard to connect with them....more
