But I've come to discover that straight women are some of the most devoted and passionate fans of m/m romance and I love them for that. There are also some great female straight writers of the genre, as I'm sure you know. One reader once told me she loved romance, but had grown tired of the power dynamic in M/F romances, which was why she came to prefer the more equal relationships in M/M fiction. Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver
"Kingsolver is one of my all-time favorite authors, but I really struggled with this book and ultimately didn't finish it. The characters seemed flat and uninteresting and the parallel stories of the Knoxes and the Greenwoods just weren't compelling. " Read more of this review »

“And really, what is trust other than faith in a clever disguise?”
Rick R. Reed, Legally Wed

“The fire of their passion for one another darts around the small compartment like a bat, its blood-warmed wings beating helplessly against the smooth plastic walls.”
Rick R. Reed, Fugue

“My Jimmy Choos!" Becca collapsed on the floor beside the pair of red patent leather stiletto heels. She gathered the shoes up in her arms, almost as if they were a baby, pulling them close to her ample bosom and sobbing.”

“There are three possible parts to a date, of which at least two must be offered: entertainment, food, and affection. It is customary to begin a series of dates with a great deal of entertainment, a moderate amount of food, and the merest suggestion of affection. As the amount of affection increases, the entertainment can be reduced proportionately. When the affection IS the entertainment, we no longer call it dating. Under no circumstances can the food be omitted.”
