And then one night, I guess I wasn’t very tired or all of a sudden, I just got to a really good part, but I had to turn it off so that I could go to sleep. And the rest of it. The main character reminded me of the neurodivergent heroine in The Maid. Oh isn’t she quirky? Oh she doesn’t get people! How cute. Many of the characters say cruel things to Cyril and often other characters say this isn’t possible because those characters aren’t like that. This is an odd aspect of the book. I’m not sure what to make of it. Is he an untrustworthy narrator?? No clue. ...more
